Wow that was long, but keep in mind that I was during the concernt. This went on for 3 hours! So don't tell me what long is, I know what long is, for I was there.
I will have you know that you made Jason's day! :) He knows this guy. This guy taught Jason the first year he marched drum corp. He is definitely a showman (the guy in the vid). I hope that I didn't take Jason's thunder! :)
These cats are something else! The first guy, his name is Nick Angelis. He is a freak! And I mean that in the nicest way! The first year I marched with the Troopers in Casper, WY, he came with us on tour and really taught us a lot about believing in yourself, working hard, and being proud of who you are. He left a very memorable impression on me and I thank him for it. Jeff queen is the 2nd guy that "battles" Nick. He has a done a lot of teaching seminars and is very well known in the drumming community. The guy on tenors that has the "fast hands" is named Vern Johnson. We had him come up and teach the ISU drumline for a summer when I was playing snare for them. I love to watch these vids because these guys really showcase their flippin mad skills on the drizz-ums.
