The Most Special Item

Yes, I did it. I succumbed to BLACK FRIDAY! I rolled myself out of bed, got dressed, tip-toed down the hall and out of the house, got into my car and drove to Target. Then, I stood in line for about 40 minutes trying to ignore the overly excited people waiting for the store to open. My MP3 player was enough company for me and my tired brain.

Finally, when the store opened I tried not to walk too fast, so as not to bring attention to myself. I wanted to keep myself looking a little bit casual, unlike some of the crazed shoppers of the early morning. My destination? Electronics. Wow, talk about the place to be!

There was a Man In A Red Shirt who was guarding the most coveted and expensive items. People were crowding all around; some pushing, and some yelling. Me? I just casually waited. Patiently. Until I saw that there were only THREE of the most special item, that I cannot name here, left. It wasn't until then that my heart started to beat faster and I started to push, but just a little, just to remind people that I was still there! And then, at the right moment, BAM! I called out, "I need one of (those)!"

The Man In The Red Shirt heard me and he signaled his helper to grab (it) for me. There were people all around me. The Man In The Red Shirt had (it) in his hand but he walked right past me. I didn't understand what was going on. The most special item that I cannot name here was moving; moving away. But, no! The Man In The Red Shirt handed the (special item) to the Woman In A Red Shirt. She was to be my escort, my very own escort, to the front of the store so that I could pay for it. Whew, what a relief!

With a smile on my face I followed her, as all the jealous losers watched, up to the front where I paid for the most special item that I cannot name here.

This was not my first Black Friday experience. I have been a part of the excitement before; but this was the first time that I ever attempted The Battle For The Coveted and Most Expensive Items. It was fun! A bit of a rush! I'll be back next year to do it again speed walking;...I mean casually walking fast to find something we can't live without!

Gotta love Christmas!

Sweetie, I saw the battle scars and I must say, you are a warrior! I'm sure whoever got "it" will appreciate your sacrifice.

I think it is a target gift card? Am I right? or maybe a transforming mind controlling aparatis that helps control things or people, am I right? I can keep guessing...
