A Random Sample

I'm not feeling exceptionally inspired this week because I have a statistics class hanging over my head.  All I can think about is statistics and how much I do not understand the logic.  The only stats that I find interesting are the stats that are connected to my blog.  Maybe you have looked at them too...on your blog.  You know the ones that show how many hits you're getting and from where in the world.  I like those stats.

I find out that when I'm doing my "homework" {ha, ha, yeah right} I find that I understand the concepts, but when I come back later and try to pick up where I left off...I just can't do it.  I simply cannot retain this stuff.  Any ideas for retention?  Seriously.

I thought about writing a chronological list of the things I have to do everyday, but I decided that I didn't want to scare you off.  I will say that I spend nearly 3 hours in my car every single day and I'm sure now that you know this your life will be made complete.  Right?  Thought so.

Remember the divinity that I made a few weeks ago?  It turned out okay.  I didn't wow myself or anything like that, but it was decent for a first time.  Maybe I will try again this weekend...and post pics.  Maybe.  A funny thing that I learned about divinity is that it seems like nobody knows what it is.  There is another blogger, Susan, who has had similar musings.  Read Is Divinity Dead?

When I was buying Karo Syrup so that I could make the divinity, the check out guy asked me what I was going to be mixing.

I said, "What?"

His practical idea for the use of Karo Syrup is to add it to strong drinks.  A.k.a. alcohol.  He specifically suggested Everclear.  Apparently, it disguises the aftertaste...but it doesn't matter because I don't drink.  It'll kill your liver.  (So will fast food, but that's beside the point.)

Anyway, when I explained to him that I was going to make divinity, he said "what's that?"

"It's an old fashioned candy," I replied.

"Oh," was all he could say.

Top that check out boy.  I know how to make candy.

The last thing I want to say is this:  When I was a little kid, my older brothers had a bow and some arrows.  My dad got them a hay bale to shoot the arrows into, but I remember on several occasions my brothers shooting the arrows straight up into the air!  Duh!  They even let me try!  It sure was a good time!  How is it that I'm still alive?

LOL.. I love you sis.

It is true, divinity is forgotten. Apparently, the younger checker's idea of candy is mixed drinks... :)
I remember playing with those bows and arrows too. I had not supervision. Yes, mom and dad, I am surprised that I am still alive! lol

PS You are a rock to drive so much. it wears me out. You are my hero. :)
