The Manipulator

Kids are smart.  They are conniving little manipulators willing to say whatever they can think of to get what they want.  Not that I would know because I was a perfect child.  I never did anything naughty -except for that one time I sprayed my dad's aerosol deodorant on the kitchen table and lit it up with a match.  I think I spelled out 'Hello' or something.  Okay, that was really fun and COOL!  But that is beside the point and my mom didn't know I did it so even better, right?  Good times, good times. 

So back to manipulative children --specifically, my oldest daughter.  This morning she was begging me to play a game on my phone.  This usually isn't a problem but I was about to jump in the shower and I don't dare let her play with it unsupervised.  (My children have been known to download games and never the free ones, get what I'm saying?)  So like I said, I told her no because I was getting in the shower.  A few minutes later, after she had time to process my decision she said, "Mom, when you go take a shower leave your phone here, I won't play with it, okay?"  I had a good laugh over this and hopefully it made you a little happy too.
