We're moving. Again. Not by our choice, but someone else's. The owner's of our cute home decided to not pay their mortgage anymore so now...well, you know the rest. We have enjoyed living in our current home, but I guess it is the chance you take when you rent at a time when people are willing to let their homes go into foreclosure. Which is obviously what has happened here. Luckily, we were able to find a new place quickly and in our same neighborhood. That is the only positive thing about this situation, besides the fact that we will be gaining another 1000 square feet. Square footage is good when you have growing children.The real downside to moving is of course the packing and the cleaning...all time consuming. And it is because of this move that I have to let a birthday project for my oldest daughter go. 
I am totally bummed about this. For her birthday last year she got a little kitchen complete with play dishes and plastic foods. Well, since then she has aquired some adorable felt foods from her talented aunt and grandma. I thought that I would make her an adorable felt cake and cake stand so that she can celebrate "birthday's" year 'round.

Yes, they are very cute! You could always postpone her birthday a month! :D She'd be none the wiser... :) I've thought about doing that before.
Good luck with all of that. I'd love to come and help you out, but alas, timing is not fantastic for it. :)
PS I do feel bad for you. Moving seems so daunting to me.
