What's the Deal With The Bucket List, Kendra?
Wow! What a good question!
It's things I want to do.
Wow! Really?
I know!
{Did I just have a conversation with myself? I think I did!}
Most of the items on my Bucket List have not been all that personal. For example, Climb Mt. Everest. I'm sure many of you doubt my commitment to do it. The expense and training will be great. I'm giving myself til I'm 45. I've got to be practical right? I have just over 10 years to condition...learn how to mountain climb, walk across a ladder in spiked boots... I have a long way to go...I've got to get in shape first.
How about that bachelors degree? I've got a few years to go...I'm just a part-time student living a full-time mom's lifestyle. I'm not on Prozac yet...lol. Don't ask me what that means because I don't know.
I think this weekend I'll try to make divinity. Maybe it will end up in My Arsenal...which is another one of my Bucket List Goals...to make a cookbook titled: My Arsenal!
My most important goal that I haven't put on my List {I guess I will now} is to serve at least one person of my family in an extraordinary way {to that person} every day until Christmas. Each act of service has to be something that I don't already do on a regular basis. I figure if I do this it will help my family become more unified...and my hope is that we will all be more inclined to helping and serving one another. We love whom we serve. Make sense?
"Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40).
"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17, The Book of Mormon).
What goals do you have and what are you doing to accomplish them?

LOL.. I really like this post Kendra. I want to climb mount Everest with you.... maybe. :)
I want to gradiate with my bachelors and I want to become a cosmetologist of sorts to!!! (Jylisha!!). After I graduate with my Eng Lit degree I will go to beauty school so that I can cut my kids, husband, family, friends and any one else for free! I just want to know how. I think it could be a good way to serve. :)
An F-16 sounds pretty intense. Maybe you could get the pilot shoot through the atmosphere or whatever it is they do.
I often tell My Man that we both need to go to massage therapy school so that we can learn how to give each other awesome massages. Maybe he'll go for that when we get old.
And both of you girls can do my hair. It needs help.
Loved your post Kendra...since I started my bucket list I've had loads more fun. Thank you for your comment on a recent post of mine. Only just returned from the back of beyond where there was no internet....terrible blog withdrawal symptoms!
