The Antics Of A Child

If you know Joshua like I do you would know that he is a character. I have always sort of considered him to be a bit of a comedian because he always has something silly to say, or acts a bit goofy. He is very affectionate and even a bit tenderhearted. So, when Josh lost his first tooth last Friday I wasn't too surprised. This is how it happened....

It was about 2:00 in the afternoon. Brandon was at work, Ethan was playing a computer game, Josh was watching TV, Kacey was napping, and I was using the "John." I was in the bathroom probably two minutes when Josh started to whimper/cry/scream. (Not too loud though.) And I'm thinking, "What in the world is going on now?!"

In a worried and somewhat scared sort of way he exclaims, "I lost my tooth!" "Help!" "I'm bleeding!" "It wasn't ready yet!" "Aaahhh!"

At first I thought I ougtta get out there to see what was going on....then I decided to take my time and finish my business before finding out what happened. I'm so mean aren't I?

A few minutes later when I got out of the bathroom I asked Josh what had happened. Apparently, he had been playing with a thick piece of string, almost like a ribbon of sorts and he had tied it in a circle and wrapped it around a couple of teeth. With the string around a tooth he decided it would fine to put his foot in the string too. Well, I think he must have lost his balance because when his foot accidentally tugged the string his tooth popped out root and all. THIS WAS NOT A LOOSE TOOTH. ALL ROOTS WERE STILL ATTACHED!

I think it freaked the poor boy out a little bit. Luckily it was only a baby tooth and it might be awhile yet before another grows in its place. The best part of it all was when my tenderhearted boy said, "I'm too young to lose a tooth!" Yep, childhood antics, that's what it is.

And The real story is? How did he really loose that tooth Kendra?

That is cool, way to go Josh, or you could do like my daughter Allivia and just fall on a bike and knock out your tooth that way, Josh. The Dentist told us to shuv her tooth back in and so we did, but she woke up early in the morning and she had a tisy fit and slammed her head down and knocked it out again so we said, that tooth wasn't meant to be in her mouth.

That is hilarious! THat is totally something I would have done, but my only purpose would have been to remove my tooth. I find it funny that he wasn't meaning to remove the tooth! :) Silly silly!

After all the times we have tried to get Sheri's kid's teeth out with a piece of string--and I'm talking about very loose teeth--and he managed to take out a perfectly good tooth! TALENTED!!!
